Está es la lista de nominados de los MTV VMA 2020

La coyuntura de este año detuvo gran parte de las industrias, en el rubro de la música, la imposibilidad de conciertos en vivo ha sido el principal golpe, sin embargo, la producción de material nunca se detuvo. De hecho, debido a la cuarentena en muchos países, las plataformas de streaming como Spotify y Youtube han experimentado un gran crecimiento en consumo y rentabilidad que naturalmente, ha sido bien aprovechado.

Con tan buen panorama para los lanzamientos, MTV anunció este fin de semana la lista de nominados para la premiación de los Video Music Awards (MTV VMA 2020). Entre los géneros que abarcará esta edición se encuentran el rock, rock alternativo, hip-hop, pop, R&B, K-pop y la “música latina”.

Los artistas que lideran la lista de favoritos son Lady Gaga y Ariana Grande con nueve nominaciones cada una. Le siguen Billie Eilish y The Weekend con seis y Taylor Swift con cinco.

MTV VMA en tiempos de coronavirus

No es raro pensar que la pandemia influirá en como se lleve a cabo esta edición, y es que precisamente, dos nuevas categorías han sido agregadas como resultado de las circunstancias: “Mejor video desde casa” y “Mejor actuación de cuarentena“. Ambas premiarán el fenómeno de presentaciones por excelencia de estos días que salgan más votadas.

La ceremonia para conocer a los ganadores de cada sección se realizará el 30 de agosto y deberá cumplir los protocolos de sanidad

¿Cómo votar en los MTV VMA 2020?

Los ganadores de los MTV Video Music Awards se definen según el apoyo del público a sus artistas favoritos. La votación se realiza a través de este enlace al sitio web oficial de la premiación.

Cada usuario dispone de 20 puntos para cada una de las categorías por lo que puede decidir entre apoyar a uno o más artistas. Los votos se regeneran cada 24 horas y se puede participar diariamente. Las votaciones están abiertas hasta el 23 de agosto. (Mejor Artista Emergente estará disponible hasta el 30 de agosto).
